The temps were around 105-108 most of the days we were there. We went out to buy some hay for their horses and the price for coastal hay was $10.50 for a small square bale. They are a full time job til they get up a little larger.  I think tomorrow I will be able to spread them into a couple cages.  I will be able to put the bigger waters in also. We got lots done in the house this morning.  Rain came.  The weather guy said we wouldn't get it til after lunch.  That was about 5:30 this morning. We now have 5 new kids (1 single and 2 sets of twins) and I think about 19 lambs.  I would have to go look on my note to tell you how many of twins or single. We just finally had about 5 days free of rain and the sun actually shined.  The grass grew and the mowing began.  Only limited though.  We rotated the goatie boys out one at a time and let them graze.  We got in some more electric netting and made a pen out side the llama boys pens and let them rotate out and mow that area. This weekend David and I sat down and wrote down our breeding groups and tried to scatter everybody out appropriately... We usually put one pen of goats and one pen of sheep. Our Angora goats are looking forward to warm days ahead.  We went out this afternoon and put coats back on them and turned on the heat lamps for the kids.  As usual the sheepies are handling the wind fine.  The advantage of all that fiber on the shetland ewes the lambs lay up close and all is fine.
